Elements of Reiki Treatment

Since Reiki is guided by higher consciousness, one can never give too little or too much. Reiki treatment of any duration is always pleasant and relaxing, and even the shortest of treatments can produce effective results.

On the other hand, longer treatments only increase the value of Reiki.

When I treat a client in a therapeutic setting, my Reiki treatments usually last from one to one and a half hours, and tend to follow this pattern:

  1. Element 1: Initial Consultation

Upon meeting with a client for the first time, I find it extremely valuable to have an initial consultation, where we discuss the client’s physical ailments as well as any mental or emotional concerns that he or she feels comfortable voicing. We also discuss the nature of Reiki, and I answer any questions that the client may have concerning treatment. I make notes of any medication that the client is taking, and any other form of complementary therapy that he or she may be undergoing.

Please note that I keep ALL information discussed during the consultation, or any other part of the Reiki session, in the strictest of confidence between the client and myself.

  2. Element 2: The Healing Attunement

The Healing attunement is a technique developed by the International Centre for Reiki Training, whose ethical and teaching standards I work in full accordance with. The Healing attunement brings the dynamic, high-frequency ki that is channelled during Reiki attunements into the client’s energy field for the purposes of healing. The Healing attunement does not initiate one into Reiki, but opens the client’s aura and helps to create within them a more receptive state of consciousness.

  3. Element 3: Subtle Auric Treatment

After the Healing attunement, the client lies, fully clothed, upon the massage couch while I use Reiki to treat the aura and various layers of the energetic body. I use several techniques developed by the International Centre for Reiki Training for this purpose, such as scanning, beaming and psychic surgery.

  4. Element 4: Bodywork

After working in the client’s aura and upon the energetic bodies, I move on to bodywork. This is Reiki treatment in the classic sense, and always comprises the majority of any session. The hands are placed gently upon various positions on the client’s body, including the head, neck, shoulders, upper and lower back, torso, legs and feet. Each position is held for about 5 to 10 minutes.

  5. Element 5: Grounding

Following bodywork, I finish a session by grounding the client. The Reiki energy is sealed within the aura, and continues to have a positive impact even after the session is completed.

Reiki Treatments are available seven days a week from 11am onwards. The fee for initial treatments of 90 minutes is £45. Follow up appointments of 60 minutes are £35 thereafter.
